Overview
Hotel Bora Bora was the first hotel on the island to introduce Overwater bungalows, a magical architectural concept that has conjured up the ultimate island hideaway ever since. The 54 bungalows and farés are dotted throughout the resort’s palm-laden tropical gardens, as well as beside three pristine white, soft sand beaches. Fourteen of the bungalows are stilted above the aqua lagoon sea, featuring a two-tiered sundeck and steps down to the water. Others enjoy a variety of settings from garden view, to palm and hammock lined beach front, while the farés, meaning ‘home’ in Tahitian, are authentically designed in the spirit of an old trader’s house. The resort is blessed with a thriving sea, bragging an array of fluorescent sea life, fantastic reefs, dreamy island excursions over land and sea, culminating into one of the world’s most romantic island retreats
•Bungalows- Located on the palm-lined beachfront. Aside from a spacious bedroom and bathroom, they come with a sitting area that leads to a small patio facing the lagoon. Some of these have an elevated sundeck built on columns with steps leading to the beach. All Bungalows are air-conditioned.
•Overwater bungalows- 14 thatched-roof, tropical-island retreats set directly over the blue lagoon. The water surrounding these bungalows are abundant in coral and marine life. Each air-conditioned, they feature a bedroom with a king-size four-poster bed, a spacious bathroom, and a two-tiered sundeck shaded by a roof of hand-tied pandanus. There is also a shower at water level alongside steps leading into the lagoon.
•Pool fares- thatched farés are set amidst tropical gardens, with short pathways leading to the lagoon. Enclosed by lava stone walls, these farés have an air-conditioned bedroom and come with a private swimming pool and an outdoor sundeck area. Each Pool Faré measures 1,260 sq ft, including the sundeck.
•Beach fares - Located in prime beach areas. All come with a living room, an air-conditioned bedroom with a king-size, four-poster bed, an en suite sitting room, a bathroom and a large sundeck. Each Beach Faré covers an area of 939 sq ft, including the sundeck.
